In many places of the world, especially the western world where the teachings and morals of Islam are not taught as a curriculum by the schools and society, there is a great need for religious instruction for the youth and even the adults. Apparently the only place this is readily available, outside of the home, is the masjid. For this reason it is imperative that with our wealth and with our efforts we keep our masjid going with whatever we can give. This can take many forms such as volunteer help, setting up programs, doing speeches, organizing, and also the giving of financial aid. This last form of giving in the way of Allah is especially imperative since without money the masjid cannot run, even if people are helping out in the other ways.
